How to calculate fuel trip cost
Estimate distance, liters, total fuel cost, and per-passenger share from trip distance, vehicle efficiency, fuel price, and passenger count.
How the estimate is calculated
The calculator divides total distance by efficiency in km/L, then multiplies the liters by the price per liter. When round trip is enabled, distance is doubled before fuel use is calculated.
Splitting the cost
The per-passenger result divides the total estimated fuel cost by the number of passengers. It does not add tolls, parking, maintenance, depreciation, or driver time.
