Terms of Service

What the service is

ProntoUso is a free collection of small online utilities for text, files, calculations, developer tasks, design checks, and everyday work. No visitor account is created, nothing is installed, and no payment is requested. The catalog grows over time, and tools marked "Soon" are not available yet.

Cost and availability

The tools are offered free of charge. We aim to keep the site online and working, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. The site may be unavailable during maintenance, because of a hosting incident, or for reasons outside our control. Tools may be added, changed, or withdrawn at any time.

Your content stays yours

You keep every right to whatever you type, paste, generate, copy, download, or open in a tool. We claim no ownership over it. Most tools process it on your device and we never receive it. Image Compressor, Image Resizer, PDF Merge, Split & Image to PDF, Image Format Converter, OCR — Image to Text, Video Compressor, HEIC to JPG Converter, MP4 to MP3 Converter, Animated GIF Compressor, Background Remover, Image Upscaler & Enhancer, PDF Compressor, Word to PDF Converter, Password Breach Checker, Security Headers Scanner, Sitemap XML Validator's optional "Fetch from URL", YouTube Thumbnail Downloader, DNS Propagation Checker, SSL/TLS Certificate Checker, and YouTube Tags Extractor are the exceptions: each sends only what it specifically needs to a ProntoUso server for that one request — a file, password-hash fragment, URL or video ID, or public domain and DNS record type — and never stores it (see our Privacy Policy for details).

Acceptable use

Use the tools for lawful purposes. Please do not:

• break, overload, or probe the site or the infrastructure it runs on;
• use automated systems to hammer the site in a way that degrades it for other people;
• use a tool to help with an illegal act, such as generating credentials for an account you do not own;
• copy the site to pass it off as your own, or remove notices of authorship from its content.

Verify results before relying on them

The tools are practical helpers, not professional advice. Calculations, conversions, and generated values should be checked before you use them for anything that matters — financial decisions, legal documents, security systems, or published work. You remain responsible for what you do with the output.

About the Password Generator specifically

Passwords are generated on your device using your browser's cryptographic random number generator, and they are never transmitted or stored by us. That also means we cannot recover one for you. Once you close the page, a password you did not save is gone. Store what you generate in a password manager.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ProntoUso and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for loss of data or profit, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.

Third-party services

The site uses Google Analytics 4, whose cookie and visit data are only turned on after consent (see "Analytics" above), and is served through a hosting provider. Network tools may also contact the public services they are designed to query: YouTube and its image host for public video metadata and thumbnails, Google Public DNS and Cloudflare for public DNS answers, Have I Been Pwned for password-hash suffixes, and the public URL you explicitly ask a scanner or sitemap tool to fetch. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control. Links pointing away from this site are not endorsements of their content.

Intellectual property

The name, design, text, and interface of ProntoUso belong to its operator. You may use the tools freely for personal and commercial work, including the results they produce. You may not republish the site itself as your own product.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the project grows. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, where the project is operated. Mandatory consumer protections in your own country of residence still apply to you.
