How to add a visual signature to a PDF

Load a PDF, create a drawn, typed, or uploaded visual signature, choose a page and position, then download a PDF with a visible signature stamp.

Visual signature only

This tool adds a visible representation of a signature. It does not apply a cryptographic digital signature, certificate signature, qualified signature, or identity proof.

Local PDF editing

For compatible, unencrypted PDFs, the browser appends a stamp annotation with a custom appearance stream. The original PDF bytes stay on your device.

Compatibility notes

  • Encrypted PDFs are not supported.
  • Some PDFs with compressed or indirect page annotation structures may not be editable without a full PDF library.
  • PNG uploads are embedded through a browser-generated image; transparent pixels may render on a light background.

Processing notes

The PDF and signature are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded.
