How to estimate electricity cost

How it is calculated

Power is converted to kilowatts, multiplied by the number of appliances and hours used per day, then multiplied by days and the tariff per kWh.

kWh = kW * quantity * hours per day * days

Multiple appliances

Each appliance is calculated separately and then added to the combined total, so you can compare one device with the whole period estimate.

At 0.25 per kWh over 30 days, the lamps use 30 kWh and cost 7.50 for the period.
